Had one of the best brunches I’ve had in Dallas here! Things pick up around 1 on Sunday and it is such a fun time with the live DJ! I had the chicken and waffles off of the brunch menu and it was phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back and try more items!!
Bucky Moonshine's is my new go to!! I went for a day date with my husband. The restaurant was pretty empty but the waitress said it usually like that during the week. Their busiest times are at night and on the weekend. The music was nostalgic and I was dancing in my seat!! We ordered the all you can eat catfish for $20 and it came with two big fillets and fries. The food came out still sizzling from the deep fryer and was delicious. She came back and asked if we were ready for more fish before we ate the second fillet. By time we finished we had another basket of sizzling fish on the table. We were able to take two pieces to go also. Needless to say I got more than my moneys worth. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu and see what the weekend vibe is like.
Food was delicious. Tiana our waitress was very attentive and she actually gave recommendations on what to eat. And, the bottomless mimosas were on point. Will be coming back. DJ was jamming.
This place is a hit or miss at times. The music is typically extra loud and the DJ tries to sing or plays pass the mic to any and every body. I'm sure it fun for most, but I come for the food and convo. Lol! I guess I'm introverted like that. But the service and my extra dirty martini were good! You cannot miss with their chicken wings. They always hit! The fried crawfish tails were good with the cocktail sauce. I also had the fried catfish with the dirty rice and topped w/ a crawfish sauce. It was just okay. I took it home to my mom. My daughter got the chicken wings & waffle . It was great, fluffy and buttery . This is not my first time here, nor will it be my last time here. The chicken is just that good!
I dont think there is 1 item that would not slap here. We enjoyed the fried boudin appetizer, crawfish in butter sauce, all you and eat fried catfish. It came out hella hot, fat, and crispy. Crazymely waffle had bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. Insanely soft and delicious. And crawfish enchiladas with side of dirty rice and red bean. All were seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back
It was my first visit and my surprise birthday lunch. Such a great time was had. Delicious shrimp and grits. All the orders looked great. The dj was great! #newfavspot
The food, drinks, and DJ were great! Shrimp and grits were tasty. My husband got the crayfish enchiladas and OMG! Go give it a try!
Really enjoyed my experience at this southern comfort food restaurant, especially as this type of food can't be found where I live. The menu had multiple options that were speaking to my soul, but the Nashville Chicken and Waffles won me over. These might be the most phenomenal chicken and waffles I've ever had, the infused jalapeno in the waffle batter was very well done, was very balanced and not overpowering. It made the waffle go excellently with the wonderfully coated Nashville style fried chicken. It was a cool atmosphere that wasn't flashy but comfortable. They were playing straight 90's Hip Hop the whole time which I was vibing to the whole time. I didn't have any drinks but the bar was well-stocked, featuring all sorts of moonshine-derived or inspired mixers. The server was awesome, he treated me with that southern hospitality. Thoroughly awesome experience.
